Well, this week in science, Micah's been learning about weight. The difference between light and heavy. He's been working out of the Everything Science Workbook.
The lesson plan says: "Provide oral directions, such as "Circle an instrument that is too heavy to pick up" or "Color an object that is light enough to float in the air." Then specify what you would like the child to draw in the empty box, saying, for example, "Draw something in the classroom that is light enough for you to pick up."
Simple enough instructions, right? Now take a look at the worksheet.
Now, what exactly is the object to the right of the turkey? I just couldn't figure it out. I asked Micah, if he knew what it was and he didn't have a clue either. Is it suppose to be a cookie or maybe cheerios being flushed down the toilet?

I had to ask myself, "Where is the turkey?!" To me, it looks like Sebastian the crab (from Little Mermaid) when he was lying on Grimsby's bed of lettuce!
ReplyDeleteSome of those workbooks have the craziest pictures!
ReplyDelete@ Anji: lol, you're right! I can totally see that! @ Colleen: I agree, makes you wonder who's doing the illustrations for these books.
